
According to media partner Masslive and The Republican, the City of Springfield still needs to borrow $8 million in state money to pay for the rest of the cleanup from the tornado and 2011 October snow storm.
The two storms caused $120 million in damage to Springfield.
The city is hoping FEMA will give more money so the city won't need to borrow as much from the state.
