The Springfield Fire Department had to use two sets of the jaws of life to extricate a driver from a vehicle around 2:30 a.m. Sunday.
Dennis Leger, aide to Fire Commissioner Joseph Conant, told CBS 3 that there was a head-on collision between a Lexus and Honda in the area of 508 Boston Rd.
The driver of the Honda needed to be removed, as his legs were pinned inside the vehicle.
That driver was taken to Baystate Medical Center with leg injuries.
