Attendance record set at the Big E

WEST SPRINGFIELD, MA (WSHM) -

The 2012 edition of the Big E still has one day left, but the fair has already set an attendance record.

According to Communications Manager Catherine Pappas, with Saturday night in the books, 1,288,191 people have attended the Big E this year.

The previous record was set in 2009 when 1,260,487 guests made their way to West Springfield.

Saturday's attendance was 101,477 people.

So anyone attending the fair's final day on Sunday will be part of a record-setting day at the Big E.
