Guidelines for submission of Public Service Announcements

CBS 3 Springfield is proud to provide Western Massachusetts with public service messages that educate our community. Public service announcements are aired on CBS 3 Springfield and on CBS 3 Springfield Now.

Guidelines:

With the exception of acknowledged local, state, and Federal government entities, verification of 501(c)3 status must be provided when submitting a PSA.

PSA's may be submitted on Beta, DVCPro, miniDV, DVD, or via digital delivery methods. CBS 3 Springfield airs PSA's in lengths of :60, :30, :20, :15 or :10 seconds.

PSA's will be screened for quality and subject matter. CBS 3 Springfield reserves the right to reject any PSA for any reason without explanation. PSA's containing any of the following will not be accepted:

• Commercial business logos or solicitations for monetary donations.
• Video and audio quality not meeting broadcast standards.
• Copyrighted music or video not cleared for air.

CBS 3 Springfield cannot guarantee that a PSA submitted to the station will be aired. PSA's will be added to our PSA rotation at the discretion of our Promotions Specialist and station management. Once airing, PSA's run on random rotation with no guaranteed air dates or times.
