Samantha Lavien - CBS 3 Springfield - WSHM

Samantha Lavien joined the CBS 3 Springfield news team in October 2011 as a general assignment reporter. A native to New England, Samantha grew up in Sharon, MA. She is thrilled to be reporting here in her home state.

Samantha began her career as a weekend reporter for the Fox affiliate WICZ-TV 40 in Binghamton, NY. Prior to that she had several internships in the Boston area with NECN, WCVB-TV and Kraft Sports Productions.

Samantha graduated from Syracuse University with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and Psychology. While at SU she was a member of the Division 1 Varsity Cheerleading team for the school's football and basketball teams.

While not at work Samantha enjoys cheering on the Orange as well as all of the Boston sports teams. She also enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
