Man in critical condition after sword attack - CBS 3 Springfield - WSHM

A man is suffering from some critical injuries after a sword attack in West Springfield. Marlan Smith is holding on to life at Baystate after being on the wrong end of this sword fight.
Police say Smith and his alleged attacker, Keith Steen, were fighting at the Olympia Manor Apartments on Ashley Street.
Police say Steen sliced Smith with the sword. It went into his abdomen and it cut so deep, parts of his intestines spilled out.
Steen is being held on $100,000 bail and is being charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

There are not a lot of details available just yet, but Massachusetts State Police confirmed to CBS 3 that a search is taking place for a missing child in and around Millers River.
