UMass comes up short in Colonial Clash, 27-21

UMass came up short against its rival New Hampshire in the second-ever "Colonial Clash," losing 27-21 to New Hampshire.

Wide receiver Julian Talley set career-highs with 10 catches and 113 yards. He also ran for a 23-yard touchdown.

Jonathan Hernandez ran for 95 yards and a touchdown, although he lost a fumble early in the game.

Trailing by nine late in the fourth quarter, UMass decided to kick a field goal with under two minutes left. The ensuing onside kick was recovered by New Hampshire.
