Indulging in a cream puff

"It's so good it's delicious. Best thing that every happened to me," says Bob Zaleski from Newington, CT.

For Zaleski, a Big E cream puff is a guilty pleasure. He limits himself to one cream puff each year.

"My sugar rate will go up 10 milligrams. The doctor doesn't like it, that's way I get pills," says Zaleski with a laugh.

With 62,000 of these creamy, decadent desserts served up each year, was sure to be a doctor or two in line. So maybe a once a year treat isn't so bad for those who come back time and time again.

"It's the quality. We use 42 percent butter fat heavy cream which makes it very luscious," says co-owner Raymond Billie.

Billie and his wife Dolores are the king and queen of the Big E cream puffs. They make sure every one of these treats is equal and delicious.

"All the puffs are the same and we put 2 large scoops of cream so everything is perfectly even, says Raymond.

Wondering what's the best way to eat these cream-filled concoctions? When you're done waiting in line, just look up. There's a sign waiting for you with step-by-step instructions.

"It can't get better than this. That's what days off are for," says Bob Zaleski.
