We all love a parade, and the Big E even lets you take part in the twice-daily Mardi Gras parade.
Every day during the week at 1:00pm and 8:00pm, and on the weekends for the Grande Mardi Gras parade at 5:00pm, you can sign up to put on a costume and be part of the fun.
"A friend of ours told us you could pay $10 and ride in the parade and throw beads. And you know, kids love to do that so we decided to try it," says fair visitor Stacey Adams.
The line of custom-made floats come from New Orleans.
"Every year they're painted and fixed up. They're wonderful floats and people love to ride them," says parade organizer Terry Molynaux.
People also love to line up and catch the beads. But some say being at the center of the action can't be beat.
"Well I'll tell you what, it's his 40th birthday, he loves coming to the big E. So what's better than getting on a float and everybody celebrating with us?" says parade participant Joann Ethier.
