Chris Stewart - CBS 3 Springfield - WSHM

Chris Stewart anchors CBS 3 Springfield News weeknights at 4, 6 and 11 p.m. He joined the CBS 3 Springfield team in 2010 as a general assignment reporter.

A life-long New Englander, Chris grew up an hour down the Connecticut River in Essex, CT.

During his time covering news across Western Massachusetts, Chris and the CBS 3 team won a national Edward R. Murrow award, Associated Press award and received an Emmy nomination for coverage of the June 1 tornadoes. In 2011, Chris was honored by the Associated Press for "Best Hard News Feature" for investigating ambulance emergency response time in the city of Springfield.

Chris graduated from Penn State University with a major in journalism and minor in history.

When he's not the job, you can find Chris following his favorite sports teams. In the fall, you'll find him rooting on his Nittany Lions on Saturday and the "Monsters of the Midway" Chicago Bears on Sunday.
