ANDOVER, Mass. (AP) - An Andover man has been charged with
stealing an automatic kitty litter box cleaner.

Steven Beltran was arrested this week after police said he stole
the automatic litter box cleaner valued at $300 from a Petco store
in North Andover.

Authorities said a store employee was able to provide police
with a license plate number that was traced back to Beltran.

Police said the 52-year-old was charged Tuesday with resisting
arrest and two counts of malicious damage to property under $250.

It was not known if Beltran has an attorney. A telephone listing
could not immediately be found for Beltran.
