Senator John Kerry stopped by Springfield Monday, as Congress continues its battle over health care reform.

President Obama hopes to pass his plan by the end of this week, as Democratic leaders are continuing to secure enough votes in the House before the bill gets passed on to the Senate.

Senator Kerry told us he expects the vote to be very close.

"This bill, with a couple of tweaks, can really be good for Massachusetts.” said Senator Kerry. “My hope is that what we have is a vital product that will be good for our state."

Also on Senator Kerry's agenda is a new climate change proposal. Kerry spoke with the Peter Pan Bus Company about their new diesel fuel technology on their buses. Kerry is working alongside Senators Joe Lieberman and Lindsay Graham to draft energy and climate legislation by the end of the month.
