Downtown Springfield is having a busy day. Friday morning the annual Parade of Balloons made its way down Main Street.

Hundreds braved the rain and secured a spot on a Main Street corner.

Heads were sky-bound as Madeline, Stewie, and a nutcracker all floated their way down the street.

Melha Shriners provided the other entertainment as families all across the city came to make some new holiday traditions.

Despite all the fun, attendance today was lower than normal. Poor weather is most likely to blame.
