TAUNTON, Mass. (AP) - A Massachusetts man who shot a neighbor
because he was angry his car alarm went off in the early morning
hours has been convicted of murder.

Luis Alberto Montalvo Borgos of Fall River was convicted of
first-degree murder Tuesday in Taunton Superior Court and sentenced
to life in prison without the possibility of parole. A jury
deliberated about eight hours after a weeklong trial before
reaching a verdict.

Prosecutors say the 27-year-old Borgos shot Jerome Woodard in
May 2007. Woodard's girlfriend said they were returning home at
about 2 a.m. one morning when his car alarm went off. Minutes later
someone kicked in the door to their apartment and shot Woodard.

Borgos was arrested a month after the shooting and pleaded not
guilty.
