BOSTON (AP) - Winter hasn't even arrived but the Boston Symphony
Orchestra is already planning for summer.

The BSO announced Friday that its 2010 Tanglewood season will
begin on July 9 with conductor James Levine (Leh-VINE') leading the
orchestra in Mahler's Symphony No. 2.

Former conductor Seiji Ozawa (SAY'-jee oh-ZAH'-wah) will return
to the BSO's summer home in Lenox to lead two concerts, including
an All-Brahm's program on July 24.

The Boston Pops and conductor Keith Lockhart will also perform
two concerts at Tanglewood to celebrate the orchestra's 125th
anniversary, including a July 18 performance featuring folk singer
and Massachusetts native Arlo Guthrie.

The BSO season closes on Aug. 29 with guest conductor Kurt Masur
leading a performance of Beethoven's Symphony No. 9.
