High school girls got an up close look at what it takes to be crime scene investigators on Thursday night.

Bay Path College in Longmeadow hosted its annual Forensics Night Program and roughly 100 students participated.

The program is designed for young women who are considering a career in forensics. The college's chair of criminal justice delivered the keynote address.

The event was free and attracts some of the greatest forensic scientists from the area.
