DANVERS, Mass. (AP) - A woman whose home was destroyed and a man who lost his boat when an explosion shook a Danvers factory nearly three years ago have are suing a company that supplied chemicals they say were involved in the blast.

Deborah Riva and Robert Corrieri want Salem Superior Court to
grant class-action status to a lawsuit they filed Monday against
Covington, Ky.-based Ashland Inc.

They claim Ashland delivered highly volatile solvents to a
facility that had neither permits nor license to handle them.

The pre-dawn blast at the factory shared by CAI Inc. and Arnel
Co. damaged more than 270 homes and businesses. No one was killed
or seriously injured. Those two companies reached a $7 million
settlement with residents.

Ashland has said it wasn't liable for the blast. A spokesman did
not immediately return a call Monday.
