The body of a Springfield resident was found on a local sidewalk early Sunday morning.

Springfield Police responded to the area of 385 Allen Street at around 8:30 a.m.

Police say the 39-year-old apparently died from alcohol poisoning.

They do not suspect foul play.

The name of the man is not being released at this time.
