Rain puts a damper on Blue Angels photo shoot

By CBS 3 Springfield News

BOSTON (AP) - Rainy weather has cancelled the Blue Angels plans
for a low-level photo flight over downtown Boston.

Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Jim Peters said
Wednesday the Navy's aerial demonstration team now plans to depart
from North Kingstown, R.I., and fly over the Naval War College in
Newport, before heading to Binghamton, N.Y., for a planned
appearance.

Originally the Angels planned to photograph the USS Constitution
in Boston, but changed those plans for a general flyover because
the historic ship is undergoing renovation.

Officials announced the possible Wednesday flyover to avoid
public alarm. Federal authorities were criticized in April after an
unannounced New York City photo flyover by Air Force One panicked
some people who were reminded of the 2001 terrorist attacks.
