Easthampton is played host to its first annual Bear Fest on Saturday.

The city unveiled 35 fiberglass bears, placed throughout the downtown area of the city.

The bears were created by local artists and have become quite the draw for those looking to grab a picture.

"They are all over town, downtown, Cottage, Union, Main, Pleasant and 32 tabletop bears that the school kids decorated," said Ellen Cotine.

Some of the festivities in Easthampton included a special ice cream flavor from Mount Tom's Homemade Ice Cream, live music, and a special beer from the Opa-Opa Brewing Company.

Bear Fest ends with an 8-day celebration from October 10 through 17th.
