We're just months away from welcoming a new pro basketball team to Springfield.

Residents had the chance to win free season tickets on Wednesday. Hundreds came to the Mass Mutual Center for their one shot at the prize.

Fortunately our cameras were rolling on the one winner!
KC Jones who works over at the Sheraton hit this "Lebron-James-type-shot" from half court! Sinking it and winning season tickets to the D-League games.

"They kinda coaxed me into it, so I said, why not, and let me do something and see if I hit it, but I wasn't expecting to hit it. This reminds me of the old ABA days. They were the league that allowed you to be able to touch these players who were playing on TV so this will be a great addition to Springfield. And I'm just looking forward to it. It's going to be that close to NBA action," said K.C. Jones D-League Winner.

The D-League season starts in December.
