Gruesome case of animal abuse in Springfield

Tools

A gruesome case of animal abuse leaves two pitbulls in Springfield dead.
Animal Control and Springfield Police are working together to piece together the bizarre puzzle that unfolded at 1:30 p.m. Sunday.
They aren't sure who is responsible, but they say the dogs were found in the backyard of a home at 529 Union Street badly stabbed.
Because the dogs' injuries were so severe, the animals had to be put asleep.
If you have any information about this you are asked to call Springfield Police.

People will do anything they feel they can get away with. They are cruel to animals only because they know there is no law strong wnough to make a difference. The instant they are in a situation with a child or any other human weaker than them and they feel they won't be found out, their hidden depravity and violence will manifest itself. That is a danger to society and it makes me very insecure knowing that these people are out ther walking the same streets that my loved ones walk.

This is unacceptable behavior in a civilized socidety. I pray that the people who did this are caught and held accountable for their actions. These are God's creatures. People can make choices. Animals depend on us. Shame, Shame on those responsible.
