Mass. town manager steps down

By CBS 3 Springfield News

HOPKINTON, Mass. (AP) - Hopkinton's town manager has resigned
following his conviction last month on a vehicular homicide charge.
Anthony Troiano resigned on Thursday night during a closed-door
executive session with the select board. The board made the
resignation public upon returning to public session.
No officials would comment on the decision, but in a letter,
Troiano said he was resigning for "personal and professional
reasons."
Under terms of his contract, Troiano will be paid for unused
vacation time and get two months' health insurance and salary.
Troiano was sentenced last month to two years unsupervised
probation and lost his license for 15 years after he was found
guilty in a Bourne crash that killed a 69-year-old Falmouth woman
last year.
