By CBS 3 Springfield News

A traffic stop turned violent between a Springfield Police officer and driver Saturday night.
Police are not releasing the name of the officer involved, but they say sometime after 7pm Saturday night, the officer pulled over a car near 36 Kensington Avenue in Springfield.
Police say the officer thought the driver of the car, 18-year-old Louis Jiles, was armed. At some point, the officer reportedly shot Jiles in the wrist.
The officer has been placed on administrative duty while an internal investigation is completed.
Jiles faces several charges, including failure to stop for police.
