In early July, Massachusetts became the 29th state to ban texting for all drivers. It takes effects in October but doctors say drivers at all times need to only concentrate on the road.

In Thursday's HouseCalls, Dr. Mariann Manno, Chief of Pediatric Emergency Medicine and the PediPlace Urgent Care Center at UMass Memorial Children's Medical Center, joined us live via Skype.

Dr. Manno says doctors should only be driving and not doing anything else. She says there are many distractions including, cellphones, iPods, and even passengers.
