Nearly a thousand mourners followed the casket carrying 17-year-old Conor Reynolds as it was brought out of Holy Name Church. It's the same church where the Cathedral High School Student was baptized as a child. Many held back tears as they said their final goodbyes, including Conor's longtime soccer coach, Joe Pantuosco.

"It's one thing to have one of your best friends die and it's another thing to witness it and those memories are going to stick for a while, "says Pantuosco.

His teammates are trying to hold onto the good memories they had with Conor. One being his talent on the soccer field.

"What I learned about Conor is first of all he was a great soccer player but also a tremendous person, a kid that cared, " said Mayor Domenic Sarno.

A caring teen, who police say was trying to make the peace the night he died. Conor's life ending after he was stabbed, allegedly by Eric Denson, while trying to break up a fight outside the Blue Fusion Bar and Grill. That was the theme inside the church Friday, peace. Everyone agreeing something good needs to come from Conor's death.

"The community and the unity and the bonds of the kids and school and everyone around them has been stronger than anything in a while, we just now need to try to move forward, " adds Pantuosco.

Cathedral High School is offering more assistance in dealing with Reynold's death.A trauma response team from the Behavioral Health Network will host two workshops at the school next week. The workshops are aimed at helping students and parents deal with the longtime impact of Conor's death.
