Still no suspects in the death of a Springfield teenager, but his family says someone must know who shot him. They continue to remember the young man.

Mourners continue to stop by and light candles outside 55 James Street, leaving memories on the very spot 17-year-old Justin Gordon was shot and killed Saturday night.

Alexx Bunn says: "He was a really good kid, really good kid. He didn't deserve that a lot of people don't deserve that but he really didn't deserve that, and so young."

Vanessa Tirado says: "A breath of fresh air, he was a very happy kid."

At her home about a mile from the scene, Justin's sister is focusing on the good times.

Fashawn Gordon says: "One of them people that you would have loved to be around. Being around Justin you're guaranteed a laugh."

Today Justin was supposed to get his papers to switch schools and go to class with her.

Fashawn Gordon says: "He wanted to just make it, he never had a set goal because he said you never knew if you would make it until tomorrow."

Sadly, Justin was right. Friends tell us somebody called Justin Saturday night and told him to come outside. He never went back in.
Police believe the shooting was gang-related. A claim Fashawn doesn't agree with.

Fashawn Gordon says "just cause he was a boy that lived in the hood its like, he's gotta be pointed as gang related. And it's not gang related, its not."

Springfield officials say one key to keeping these young kids safe is through a curfew.

James Ferrera says "its been on the books since the mid-90's, but unfortunately due to reductions in the police department has never been enforced as of today, and I would like to see that enforced."

But that enforcement is of little reassurance to Fashawn today.

"My brother my best friend, he means everything to me, I can't believe he's gone. It hurts so bad. I would give my life for him to sit here right now. My baby brother though, and only 17."

She'll be holding onto the memories for as long as she can.
