Western Mass is now home to the state's newest millionaire. A lucky lottery player from Hatfield had the winning numbers in "The Star Spangled Sweepstakes.

Judith Zahn of Hatfield had already bought four Star Spangled Sweepstakes tickets somewhere else before the night three weeks ago when she walked into her local Hatfield market.

"It was just kind of a random thing, stopping in to get a couple things and had a chat about maybe buying a ticket and I did, " says Zahn.

"Actually had won a 100 dollar scratch ticket and came in to cash it, and said while I've got this money I may as well get a 20 dollar ticket now, " says Francis Frew owner of the Hatfield Market.

The Zahn's trip to claim the winnings brought them right back to that fateful spot.

In a chauffeured limo they stopped by the Hatfield Market this morning to pick up the man who made them millionaires.

"I'm very happy to have sold it to someone from town, " adds Frew.

Judith has been a nurse at the Northampton VA Medical Center for more than 30 years, and it was there, with three hours left in her shift, that she realized it was her lucky day.

"It just feels very bizarre, it's like this whole new world is gonna open up, " says Zahn.

A new world that will start with a new car...And you can catch Zahn driving that new car down the streets of Hatfield, because she says even 14 million dollars won't make her leave her home.

"I love it there! , " adds Zahn.

The Zahns aren't the only winners, the owner of Hatfield Market will receive one percent or 200-thousand dollars before taxes just for selling the winning ticket.
