If you drove by the Wal-mart in Westfield Saturday, you probably saw quite a commotion. 3 area police officers made themselves comfortable on top of the Wal-mart on Springfield Road for 10 hours. They braved the wind and cold weather to help raise money for the Special Olympics of Massachusetts.
The annual "Cop on Top" fundraiser requires local law enforcement to give up their free time and freedom this holiday by getting people to donate for a great cause. The goal is to raise 5 thousand dollars for the Special Olympics. Another "Cop on Top" event takes places Saturday, December 12th at the Hadley Wal-mart from 8am to 6pm.
