The man accused of kidnapping a sales associate from Balise Honda in West Springfield and taking him on a wild ride to the New York state boarder is now under arrest.

Wisconsin state police pulled over Aleh Kot, 32, of West Springfield in Janesville, WI for speeding. They noticed he was wanted in Massachusetts for kidnapping and larceny of a motor vehicle, and they arrested him.

West Springfield police told CBS 3 Springfield on Thursday that Kot took a 2010 black Honda Accord on a test drive around 1:00 p.m. with a sales associate and never returned to the dealership. When traffic slowed to a stop at the toll plaza in West Stockbridge, the sales associate jumped out of the car and ran for help. Kot was through the booth before anyone could stop him.

Wisconsin police say they made the arrest around 3:30 Friday morning. Janesville, WI is near the boarder of Illinois.
