The trial continues for two Springfield police officers accused of stealing money from three immigrant farm workers.

Tuesday it was police officer Steven Buzzell's turn to take the stand. He denied seeing any money in the workers wallets and denied stealing it. Steven Buzzell and Leonardo Matos are accused of taking $2,000 straight out of the wallets of three immigrant farm workers back in June 2008.

The alleged theft happened during a traffic stop on Hancock Street. The prosecutor accused officers Steven Buzzell and Leonardo Matos of making the men sit on the sidewalk and in the back of their cruiser. While questioning and searching the car they allegedly took their wallets and pocketed the money.

Closing arguments begin on Wednesday.
