Holyoke Police Investigating Father's Day Murder

Residents say they heard four to five shots. Police say Fernandez was shot twice in the stomach.

Neighbors say when the shooting happened, many people were outside on their porch, eyewitnesses to the murder.

When residents heard the shots, they tell us they saw Fernandez, moaning and holding his leg.

They say he walked about 50 yards, right across one section of the complex before collapsing to the ground.

Police and emergency crews rushed to building. The police station is less than a mile from the scene.

Fernandez was taken to Baystate Medical Center where he died around 5pm Sunday evening.

This shooting is still under investigation, but Holyoke police do tell us they are working various leads.
