An investigation into Ludlow's youngest School Committee member's residency is heating up, and may put some very big plans on hold.

This is video of the 22-year-old school committee member in April, when he became the swing vote in a plan to reorganize Ludlow's elementary schools. But it may be put on hold now that Oliveira's residency is in question.

"Its not saying anybody is innocent or guilty, we just have to follow through, " says Ludlow's Town Clerk, Laurie Gibbons.

Ludlow's Board of Registrars has oversight over residency, and on Thursday they reviewed the report from a private investigator hired by a concerned parent. The private eye followed Oliveira's every move for 2 and a half weeks. The report claims he works in Boston, and pays rent in Framingham.

Investigators also claim his residence on Guertin Avenue in Ludlow is actually his parents home. They say his car was rarely in the driveway. After reviewing those details, the board of registrars decided to launch its own investigation.

"By reading the evidence set before us there was enough documentation that we decided to go forward, " adds Gibbons.

Some residents say if Oliveira doesn't live in Ludlow, the vote to assign only two grades to each school should be overturned.

"Someone who is living out in boston does not have a right to say what is best, " says Beverly Gadureau.

The board will meet again at the end of the month. As for Oliveira, several phone calls to him were not returned.

We our not cry baby parents. How could jacob know whats best for our children, if he does not even in live in ludlow? We the parents know whats best for our children. We do not want 30 kids in one class, we do not want our children on the bus for 1 hour. Let the teachers voice their opinion, we have not heard anything about how they feel. So please don't start name calling the truth will be told.

looks like you need a dictionary to help you through this. you should have been forced to spend another year in school. jake needs to be checked out, no ifs, ands or buts about it. if there's no problem found then so be it, but let the process continue.
