Newborn Found in West Side Motel

West Springfield Police say a couple found a newborn baby in a Riverdale Road motel room over the weekend. The child had been left on a bed and was rushed to Baystate. At this time, the condition of the newbord is unknown.

The occupants of the adjacent room made the discovery at the Welcome Inn at 2041 Riverdale after they heard the infant crying. Police are trying to locate the mother.
