"Just him being here, him hugging me and mostly watching him with my kids that's what I miss," said Ginger Pisani.

On October 18th her world was turned upside down. Bob Pisani, her husband of 13 years, was killed in a car accident on Russell Road in Westfield. His Dodge Neon was hit in a head-on collision when a black Saab crossed over the center line. Police say speed was a factor and have cited the driver.

Now, almost two weeks later, Ginger has only memories of the man she fell in love with.

"He was very outgoing, very sweet, very kind, very goofy, he was always someone that liked to joke around," she says.

But Ginger says Bob's biggest passion was his two kids, his daughter Lauren and his new son Joseph.

"He just loved my daughter, he worshipped her and she worships him. They were just so close. She's really a daddy's girl and Joseph we tried for so long to have and he was so happy he had his boy. It just breaks my heart that he's not going to get to know him."

She says what gets her through is the amount of support she's received from the community, especially from the students in the Longmeadow School District where Bob worked for three years.

"Just all the cards and all the kids that came to the wake, they reminded me why I fell in love with him," she says. Many people in the community are fundraising for the Pisani family.

Longmeadow High School is holding a spaghetti dinner on November 8th from 5 to 7:30 in the cafeteria. The cost is a $5 donation. The Huntington Dance Company is using its annual Family Costume Ball to raise money for Pisani's two children. That will be held on November 17th from 7 to 9 p.m. at Stanton Hall in Huntington.

The cost is $3 per person, $10 per family. For more information you can call Donna at 413-667-5117. If you'd like to make your own donation, memorial contributions can be made to the Pisani's Children's Fund at Sovereign Bank in Westfield.
