A Chicopee Comprehensive High School teacher is arrested after female students say he showed them naked pictures of himself after class.

Jason Beaudry of Holyoke hung his head low throughout his 30 minute arraignment. The case started in January when he allegedly invited three teenage girls back to his math class at Chicopee Comprehensive High School. There he showed the girls a picture of his cat on his cell phone, but as they scrolled through the pictures, the content changed.

"The second picture she scrolled through was the defendant, as well as an exposed penis," says Assistant District Attorney James Channing.

Beaudry's attorney says his client showed poor judgment, handing the phone over to the girls when he knew the pictures were there.

"It was not his intent to show them to her but she saw them, and it went like wildfire through the school," says Defense Attorney Thomas Guiney.

But prosecutors say he later questioned one of the girls about what she had seen.

"Did you see the good pictures?" says Channing. "The victim took that as being the other pictures of the defendant exposed on the phone."

And made comments about the girls' being underage.

"The defendant would say, 'Wait until you're 18. If you came back after school I'd be in trouble,'" says Channing.

All comments Beaudry denies.
"
The only thing he admits is that there were images on the phone that were inappropriate for young girls to view," says Guiney.

Beaudry's lawyer says he is now on paid administrative leave, but no matter the outcome of the case, his client believes his teaching career is over.

"He fell into the trap that I think a lot of teachers do, wanting to be cool and wanting to be their friend. That's not their job, their job is to teach," says Guiney.

Beaudry is expected to be released Wednesday afternoon on a GPS monitoring device. He is required to stay out of the city of Chicopee.

Any comments on the statement from the staff member. Or do you think she's lying to the police as well? Wake up already! As a teacher one must act in a professional manner at all times. He brought this on himself.

he admitted to the court he had pictures.. that doesnt make him a bad person.. last time i checked if you owned something you can put whatever you want on it.. he never told those girls to scroll through and see.. they chose to which was wrong.. yes he shouldnt of handed the phone to them but they are just as wrong for looking through and seeing what they did.. this is not just him.. and i dont think he is a bad guy at all.he was my teacher for 3years.and i loved him. this is not what he wanted
