Some Western Massachusetts firefighters got a mouthful of holiday cheer on Wednesday. A few local businesses are playing Santa to give back to their firefighters.

It's a Christmas gift fresh out of the oven and wrapped in a pizza box.

"They all get the combo, one of those things everyone likes," said Tony Liquori, Owner of Liquori Pizza in West Springfield.

Every oven at Liquori's Pizza in West Springfield is full of party size pizza's for some of the Pioneer Valley's bravest men and women.

"It has really been a pleasure to do this because it helps a lot of firefighters who have to work the Christmas shift," said Liquori.

For several years now, Liquori's has been cooking about 70 pizza's for firefighters in Western Mass on Christmas Eve. The pizza donation is organized by Mark Grabowski and paid for by his company InStar Service Group, which specializes in disaster restoration. It costs more than a thousand dollars to deliver the pizzas, but much appreciated by the firefighters.

"It is a nice gesture that they do provide this service, its appreciated not only by our department, but by others. One less thing to think about as the holidays approach," said Ed McCandlish of the East Longmeadow Fire Department.

Tony Liquori says the firefighters aren't too picky about what kind of pizza they get, as long as its good. "I'd give it 20 minutes and the pizzas will be gone," said McCandlish.
