Springfield Man Arrested for Raping a Minor

A Springfield man is under arrest on charges he raped a minor at gunpoint. Now, police think he could be a city firefighter.

Police arrested 33-year-old Eddie Rivera on charges of aggravated rape of a minor and aggravated assault with a dangerous weapon. Neighbors told police Rivera is a Springfield firefigher.

CBS 3 Springfield spoke with officials at the fire department and they tell us they do have an Eddie Rivera who works for them. He's been in the department for more than 7-years. But they are waiting until Monday to release any more information.
