Toddler Killed When Struck By School Bus

The accident happened Tuesday near Summer Street just after at 8 a.m.

Police say 2 year-old Abraham Espinoza darted across the street after his sister while she waited for the bus to stop and pick her up. Police say the bus hit the boy. He died at the scene.

Amherst interim co-superintendent Helen Vivian says the toddler's sibling was a student at Mark's Meadow Elementary
School.

Grief counselors were on hand Tuesday night at the school.
