There are many things Joetta Baker will miss about her son P.J...a boy who she says had a knack for making people laugh. But the quality she will miss most, will be the spirit her son possessed even in life. Although he was young, his mother says he always put everyone first, even when undergoing radiation, chemotherapy, and several surgeries for a brain tumor that ultimately took his life.

"I guess the most important thing about PJ is no matter what he was going through, no matter how bad he felt he never complained, he wanted to make sure everyone else was okay he was very positive, he woke up everyday and said this was the best day of his life, he would talk about the future, " says his mother.

And one of his future plans was to make it to Hawaii, to see the beach, and take in the fresh air. The make a wish foundation made his dream happen. Last week PJ and his mother boarded a plane for the sunny skies, but two days in..his health turned for the worst. "When I spoke to his doctors they said 2-4 months, I didn't realize it would be a matter of a few weeks, " adds Baker.

P-J passed away with his mother close by, in a beautiful hotel overlooking the water. It's a memory, his mother will never forget.

"As sad as it is, at least I got to spend that time with him, it gave me time to know it was coming, I got to say things to him, and have that special time with him, " adds Baker.

And although PJ is gone, his mother says his spirit will live on and even in death he will continue to make people smile. PJ will be laid to rest Friday in Westfield.
