College Student Laid To Rest

Under cloudy skies, hundreds with heavy hearts said their last good-byes to 19-year-old Justin Shaver.

It was standing room only inside United House of Prayer for All People church in Springfield this morning. Friends, family, teachers and classmates turned out to remember a teen who loved life, and most of all his education.

"He was very motivated, one of top students in this summer's program, very determined, hard working," says Edwina Woods.

Edwina Woods, Shaver's College Counselor, was there the day the 19-year-old was found dead inside his Westfield State College dorm room. State Police have ruled out foul play, and are now looking at natural causes, but Shaver's sudden death has left those who knew him best, stunned and searching for answers.

"I didn't believe it at first, i didn't want to, I got really stressed out, cried a lot, " says Shaver's best friend, Jonathan Cunningham.

While his loved one's wait for Autopsy results, they say knowing the cause will not stop their hearts from hurting. They say he was taken away from them too soon, but they all agree the high spirited, motivated teen will never be forgotten.

"Just remember Justin as an awesome person, caring, he had the biggest heart in the world, never forget him, no one else should either, " says Cunningham.
