Travis Ford Makes A Decision About LSU

By CBS 3 Springfield News

AMHERST, Mass. - UMass men's basketball Travis Ford announced on Tuesday that he does not want to be considered for the men's basketball head coaching vacancy at Louisiana State University.

"I would like make clear that I do not want to be considered for the head job at LSU," Ford said Tuesday night. "There has been a lot misinformation circulating about me and the job at LSU. I feel that it is necessary to state that I do not want to be considered for the job. "

Ford recently completed his third year with UMass in leading the Minutemen to the NIT Championship game, where they lost Ohio State, last Thursday night in New York. The Minutemen went 25-11 in 2007-08 as they set right school team records.
