A manhunt is underway for a dangerous suspect. Police are asking for your help to find him. A man wanted for assault involving a firearm led police on a chase from Chicopee to West Springfield Tuesday morning. Then he got away. He's dangerous, and police are warning the public to be on the lookout.

Police are looking for 47 year old Felix Maldonado. He's wanted for armed assault on his girlfriend in Chicopee and intimidating witnesses. Now you can add, police fugitive to that list.

Maldonado led police on a wild chase spanning two towns this morning. Police, who are already familiar with Maldonado, saw him driving around Plante Circle in Chicopee. They tried to stop him, but he bolted, speeding down 391, then 91, ending in a West Springfield neighborhood. Maldonado ditched his car off Great Plain Road and took off on foot. Police brought out the helicopters, combing the area for any signs of the fugitive and found his car.
