Jeremy Schmidt is the weekend meteorologist on CBS 3 Springfield News. He grew up on the North Shore of Massachusetts, giving him an appreciation for New England weather.

Jeremy earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Atmospheric Science from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell in 2003. He then spent two years at WPRI-TV in Providence as a weather assistant. During his time at WPRI-TV, Jeremy experienced first hand what it takes to cover and forecast New England’s untamed weather.

In addition to being a student of the weather, Jeremy is an avid year- round surfer. He's surfed up and down the East Coast, Central America and the West Coast of the United States.
