Ezra Broder joined CBS 3 Springfield as sports anchor and reporter in October of 2009. He returned to his native New England after spending four years on the other side of the Mississippi River.

Before joining CBS 3 Springfield, Ezra was the sports director for KAAL-TV in Austin, Minnesota, and prior to that, KOBF-TV in Farmington, New Mexico. He won awards at both stations for excellent sports coverage, including several AP awards. Ezra began his TV career as a sports producer at WVIT-TV in Hartford, Connecticut.

Ezra's love affair for sports began in his hometown of Waterbury, Connecticut, just twenty minutes away from the center of the television sports world, ESPN. He graduated from Syracuse University in 2005 with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. His favorite sports moment remains watching the Orange win the men's basketball national championship in 2003.

When he's not reporting your local sports, Ezra is likely to be found watching some of his favorite teams, namely the Indianapolis Colts (yes, he IS from New England) and the Florida Marlins (and trust him, he began rooting for them LONG BEFORE they won their respective championships!). He also enjoys spending time with his family and friends scattered across New England.
