Amy Lynn Stanley is a sports reporter for CBS 3 Springfield. She comes to Massachusetts from California where she was a reporter for “The Sports Desk”, an award-winning sports show on CitiCable 3 in Los Angeles.

Amy Lynn grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and received her B.A. in Broadcast Journalism with a minor in Psychology from Cal State University, Fullerton. She also played soccer for the Titans earning “Big West Scholar Athlete Honors”. She served as sports director for Titan Communications, was a reporter for CSUF’s TV show, “On the Edge”, and also worked for the SF Giants, and interned for the Oakland A’s.

When she is not reporting on the sidelines you will most likely find her on the golf course, a mini-golf course, snowboarding, writing a song on her guitar, or jamming with her band. She also enjoys camping, scrabble, cooking, history, bowling, watching hockey on television with her Jack Russell terrier, and teaching and mentoring underprivileged children. In Los Angeles she volunteered for the non-profit “School On Wheels” in which she would tutor children at homeless shelters in South LA.

Amy Lynn is happy to be close to her extended family in Massachusetts and is excited to meet and report on the sports and the athletes in the Springfield area. She lists her favorite sports movies as Happy Gilmore and Hoosiers, and her sports hero as Joe Montana.
