Bay State native Scott McDonnell is excited to be back in his home state and part of the CBS 3 news team. Scott comes to CBS 3 Springfield from sister station WFSB in Hartford.

Scott grew up in Upton. He attended Nipmuc High School and graduated from the University of Rhode Island, where he got his start in broadcasting.

His voice is familiar to listeners across New England. Over the past decade, Scott has worked as a disc jockey for radio stations in Providence, Danbury, and Hartford. He also worked as a traffic reporter for Metro Traffic, guiding drivers all over Connecticut. Most recently, he worked at 96.5 WTIC FM.
