Mostly cloudy skies this morning with a chance of showers this afternoon. Highs only in the mid 60s.... and that's just the beginning of our cool down!
Passing showers in the Valley means some snow for the high country, with snow levels dropping to as low as 4,000' by late Wednesday night. That means Payson, Prescott, Sedona and maybe even a few flakes around Globe.
We'll see some clearing by Thursday morning, but the chill will linger. Phoenix-area highs will only make it into the 50s for several days in a row.
In the colder part of the day, first thing in the morning, lows will dip into the upper 30s in Central Phoenix by Friday and Saturday. That means some of those typically colder locations such as Tonopah, Queen Creek, Chandler, Buckeye, Florence and Casa Grande will flirt with the freezing mark.
